Al-Egitana, Al-Khains – Muharram 7, 1429, 2:00 p.m.
Heavy rain for the fifth consecutive day led the Al-Khains authorities to close to traffic most roads leading to and out of Al-Egitana.
In order to ease congestion on the few roads open, an official holiday was declared today.
Traffic came to a standstill for about 12 hours yesterday with arterial roads being blocked following several huge accidents resulting in hundreds of casualties both human and dromedarian.
